Ohio Medicaid
Ohio's Medicaid works effectively for low-income families by giving them access to best medical facilities by paying their medical expenses including foster and adoptive children, pregnant women and women having breast or cervical cancer and for those people whose income is not enough to meet the cost of required medical services.
To be eligible for Medicaid you should belong to any of the following category:
- pregnant
- over the age of 64
- children up to 19 years old
- been diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer
- need nursing home care
- disabilities
- blind

Women, Infants & Children (WIC)
Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a special supplemental nutrition program which provides services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to their 5th birthday based on nutritional risk and income eligibility. The primary services provided are health screening, risk assessment, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding promotion and referrals to health care. Supplemental food is provided at no cost to participants.

The Adolescent Health Program works collaboratively with other state agencies and adolescent health partners to improve the health of Ohio’s adolescents. Identification and assessment of health status and health risk behaviors are done by this process.

The program links families of children with special health care needs to a network of quality providers and helps families obtain payment for the services their children need. BCMH's mission is to assure, through the development and support of high quality, coordinated systems, that children with special health care needs and their families obtain comprehensive care and services that are family centered, community based and culturally sensitive.

Tuberculosis Program
The mission of this program is to reduce TB to no more than one case for every million Ohioans. For that they provide technical assistance to local TB units to ensure adequate surveillance, case prevention, disease containment, and program assessment and evaluation.
